Dr. Tamekia Scott: Topic: I am my sister's keeper: Deconstructing Strong Black Womxn

Dr. Scott holds a doctorate in Education with research emphasis on race and gender in leadership from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree in Counseling and a bachelor's in Psychology both from Southern Illinois University. Her theoretical underpinnings and delivery methods are grounded in Appreciative Inquiry, Black Feminist Thought, Critical Consciousness, Intersectionality, and Trauma-Informed Care (TIC).

Sharika is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, from the Westside of Chicago. She is passionate about supporting marginalized individuals and communities. Sharika’s goal is to partner with you to achieve peace, learn to manage your emotions, and set goals to progress into your future.

 

Minister Emmanuella Carter

Topic: “How our wounds can interfere with our relationship with God”

Minister Carter earned a B.A. in Theology from Moody Bible Institute and is currently completing her M.DIV at Trinity Evangelical Divinity. She serves as the Women’s Ministry leader at progressive Baptist Church in Chicago; where she is passionate about equipping and training people through teaching and preaching the gospel in practical ways to enhance their lives.
